Try Out Schedule :
- Wednesday, May 2th at 5:30 – 8PM @ NHS – Cheer and Dance Try-Out Clinics. Girls, come learn what all the excitement is about.
- Saturday, May 5th from 9:30 – 11AM @NHS – Cheer and Dance Try-Out Clinics. Girls, come learn what all the excitement is about.
- Sunday, May 6 Noon @ NHS- Official Try Outs

Cheer and Dance Performance Team
Since opening its doors in 1995, Appleton North High School has been highly successful in the area of athletics. Yes, the most successful of competitive sports teams not only cheers for other athletes, but also performs at their own cheer and dance competitions. Under the direction of Coach Heidi Brooks, the ANHS Cheer and Dance Performance Team has earned local, state, and national recognition. Unlike traditional sports programs, the North cheer and dance squads begin their seasons with try-outs each April and end with state and national competition in Februa
ry and March.
The Appleton North High School Performance Team members:
- Cheer at over 60 football and girls and boys basketball games during two seasons
- Compete in Universal Cheer and Dance Association(s) venues in Milwaukee, Chicago, Minneapolis and Orlando, Florida
- Compete in local, regional, and state competitions including: Little Chute, Freedom, Oshkosh, and Wisconsin Rapids and WACPC contests
- Succeed academically with an average team GPA of 3.6
- Donate over 100 hours of community service to projects
- Salvation Army kettle campaign
- Warming Shelter fleece blanket project
- Adopt a Family holiday mission
- “Bundle Up Kids” Coat Drive
